Stories.coop, an initiative of International Co-operative Alliance and Euricse, is a website dedicated to demonstrating the diversity of the co-operative enterprise model and to telling stories of successful co-operatives around the world.  This campaign takes the message of the United Nations International Year of Co-operatives to the global public in 2012: “Cooperative enterprises build a better world”.  The stories.coop global digital campaign provides an insight into a large cross-section of co-operative stories from around the globe.  During each day of 2012 we will feature a Story of the Day on our Homepage.

The global digital database of stories hosts a wealth of information on co-operatives in various media forms, written, audio and video. You can search for a co-operative using geography, sector or size filters.

We’ve searched for co-operative stories far and wide that cover interesting and unusual enterprises and locations. It’s where you’ll find the stories you never got to see before.

It’s also where you’ll find the stories of the co-operatives that are household names – be prepared to be surprised when you discover some of the biggest brands in the world are co-ops too.

And you can become part of the first global digital database of co-operative stories.

Our stories are going viral through a digital campaign aimed at drawing in the general public and the mainstream media.
